Our customer offers for sale this Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Cabriolet from 1963. The car was bought from the USA in February 2023 and has undergone a restoration over the past year. The owner is in posession of invoices and photos of the restoration process.
The Volkswagen features a 1.2L 4-cylinder engine paired with a manual gearbox. According to the owner, the car is in a good condition, with its frame parts powder-coated, bolts and door locks galvanized, and new mechanical components. The car has new brakes, drums, lines, shock absorbers, and a rebuilt kingpin. Almost all chrome parts are new, the wiring has been replaced, and new windows and seals have been installed. According to the owner, the interior is also in good condition, featuring dark blue eco-leather with white piping and light blue inserts. The dashboard is also done in dark blue eco-leather. The seats and door panels have been newly upholstered, and the seat frames have been powder-coated.
According to the owner, the paintwork is looking good in this color, with the body stripped to bare metal, rebuilt with new repair sheet metal, and treated with corrosion inhibitor. The car has been repainted in a blue base metallic color with three layers of clear coat. The underbody has been protected and painted with basecoat and clearcoat.
The car is equipped with a new dark blue soft top, including a headliner and padding, sourced from TMI in the USA. New carpets have been installed, with piping designed to match the original. The soft top cover is made from Silvertex material, with piping matching the seats’ eco-leather. The car also comes with a stylish embroidered bag and a blue wheel cover.
